The fine and informative aerial picture was taken by Surrey Flying Services in 1928.

The Ironworks railway was connected to the Midland Railway's Erewash Valley line at its Bennerley Junction . Note the albeit shadowy outline of the Bennerley Viaduct Bridge at the top right corner of the picture.
