Salt Glazed Stone Bottles

Salt glazed stone bottles. I used to find them all over the area, bring them home where they were filed in the dustbin by Mam.

There were some cottages at the Nuthall end of Eastwood where the paths to the front door, from the Main Road, were made of inverted stone bottles. There must have been hundreds of them. Whether they still exist under concrete, asphalt or whether everything has vanished I don't know.
