You'll see the mine head in the abutments, one on north side and the other on the south side of the canal (other abutment has the canal name on it) and the notice board on the north side of the Canal. The notice board mentions the Cadder Disaster which took place in this general area. (The Lambhill Centenary Memorial is further west along the Canal.)
Balmuldy Road is part of an unclassified route from the A803 (Glasgow Kirkintilloch Road through Bishopbriggs) and Milngavie (pronounced Milguy).
