I have just come across your web site and find it very interesting.  I have been making crackets for many years now and must have produced over 80 for friends and family.  They are most useful pieces of furniture and my small individualised child crackets – complete with name and date of birth – are used on a daily basis for a variety of purposes by my 7 grandchildren.  They are frequently requested by friends as christening gifts etc.
