I saw your wonderful website and I was wondering if you might be able to help. We are making a documentary series called Heir Hunters following a number of probate research firms as they attempt to track down long lost relatives of people that pass away without leaving a will.

The show always focuses on different interesting aspects of Social history and one of the stories we are following at the moment features a large family of Coal miners form the Coventry/Nuneaton area. The family name was Kemp and the father of the deceased worked at one of the collieries (not quite sure which one yet unfortunately) from at least the 1920s, while quite a number of the children (there were 12 in total) died of TB in the late 30s early 40s.

At the moment I’m looking for some images of coal mining in the Midlands at around that time that could possibly show the conditions of the workers as well as possibly some images of the families. I noticed that you have some great images on your website and I was wondering I you could possibly forward my e-mail to any of your source of old photos if possible.
