Hi my name is Stephen Wilkins, my late father Joe Wilkins worked at Bentinck, he took me into the winding house to take some pics. not sure of exact date, probably 1971 to 1974. Joe asked me to take these pics because he said they were going to scrap them, hope these photos will be of some help.

The photos are of two steam winders, the one without dust on the white connecting rod was still in use. I wish I had a video of it in motion. I can remember watching it and could not believe how smooth and quiet it was, plus no steam leaking from gland nuts.  The last photo is of the new modern electric winder.
