Fionn - I have tonight found my way to your website and I have enjoyed what I
have seen.

Can I draw your attention to two things:

1.  You have listed the explosion at Plain Pit that took place in 1823 but there was an earlier explosion that you have not listed. 

There was an explosion on 18th December 1817 in which eleven men and sixteen boys were killed.

2.  On Memorials, page 8, there is a headstone for "William Davison of Spiney Row".  This should read "William Davison of Shiney Row".

So far as I can find out 'Cross Fines Row', used to be in Houghton-le-Spring, Co. Durham but there is no longer such a Row. There is a Colliery Row still in existence
