I think Westgate Colliery and brickworks went in the 70's.

I used to cycle through Walton Pit to see my mates after we moved to Crofton when I was a teenager. There was a row of pit houses at the colliery site.  They demolished the row just before I left Wakefield.  Travelling on the train to Skipton took one right past the pit site - it is now a country park!
