I think this was the day when I was riding the panzer through the face on top of the coal with knee pads kneeling on a flight. As I neared the gearhead and attempted to get off suddenly realised a knee pad strap was fast under a flight or the chain as moving down the face the coal had settled lower. It was frightening as I was waving my light and shouting for someone to stop the panzer which George Daft the Overman did as he sat beaming at me, but again fortunately the long strap came away as I was tugging it just as the panzer was stopping. Very frightening, a stupid thing to do but at the time frowned upon for riding but not banned as such and a lot of men did. I never ever went on a panzer again or crossed a panzer if was running - (810 + 32 u/g).
