Hi I noticed your mail with family of Mr Bartholomew and thought you might like some additional information I have on him taken from a newspaper article of his accident.
Thomas Bartholomew, 42 of The Green, Royston, died at Barnsley Beckett Hospital, as the result of a fracture of the base of the skull sustained from a sudden fall of roof.
He is featured amongst a list of names I've been assembling for Monckton pits here:-

While attaching his pony to a full tub there was a fall from an unseen slip.

Oswald Walter Brook aged 57, detaller
He was withdrawing timber when piece of roof fell without warning. Died 2nd Feb.
24th Nov 1915
Ernest Ogley aged 17, trammer
Assisting to couple full tubs when slab fell from side and displaced a prop.
