YATES Ellis - 1856 - 31/05/1856. Reservoir, Knowles and Hall, Radcliffe, Lancashire. Fall of coal.

YATES G. - 1858 - 28/01/1858 – Age 20 - Pikeman. Old Park, Lloyds and Co., Wednesbury, Staffordshire. Heavy fall of rock lying over ‘new mine’ coal.

YATES J. - 1854 - 27/05/1854 – Age 17. Dunkenhalgh Park, Joseph Barnes, Church, Cheshire. A shot exploding whilst attempting to open a hole that had misfired.

YATES John - 1853 - 25/02/1853 – Age 64. Worsley, Bridgewater Trust, Worsley, Lancashire. Fall of coal.

YATES Mary - 1854 - 21/01/1854. Sankey Brook, Sankey Brook Coal Co., St. Helens, Lancashire. Run over by railway wagon. Female.

YATES Thomas - 1858 - 01/05/1859 – Age 36 – Onsetter. Thornley, Thornley Coal Co., Hartlepool, Durham. Fell part way down shaft (from main coal).

YATES William - 1854 - 18/02/1854 – Age 10. Ince Hall Coal and Cannel Co., Wigan, Lancashire. Explosion of firedamp. 89 killed.

YATES William - 1856 - 25/01/1856. Standish, John Taylor and Co., Wigan, Lancashire. Bursting of boiler. 2 killed.

YATES William - 1859 - 21/04/1859 - Collier. Clifton, Trustees of the late Ellis Fletcher, Clifton, Lancashire. Fall of roof in Botany Bay pit in a narrow bay where, being unwell, he was lying down.

YENDALL Robert - 1855 - 17/10/1855 – Age 32 - Hitcher. Black vein, Abercarn, Abercarn Coal Co., Monmouthshire. Fall of coal whilst crossing bottom of shaft.

YEOMANS Edward - 1859 - 10/02/1859 – Age 31 - Collier. Duffryn, Rhymney Co., Rhymney, Monmouthshire. Fall of clod lying between the two beds of the ‘Big Vein’ occasioned by a smooth faced slip.

YEOMANS J. - 1855 - 23/12/1855. Moxley, D. Skidmore, Wednesbury, Staffordshire. Fell down gin pit.

YEOMANS Thomas - 1853 - 18/08/1853. Bradley, Scott and Foley, Bilston, Staffordshire. Fall of roof.

YOND T. - 1855 - 12/02/1855. Prescot Brook, D. Bromilow and Co., Prescot, Lancashire. One of the conducting chains breaking as he had others were descending the pit.

YOUNG Andrew - 1856 - 24/02/1856 - Collier. Loanhead, R.B. Wardlaw, Ramsay, Dalkeith, Mid Lothian. Fall of coal near face of working.

YOUNG Charles - 1856 - 15/04/1856 – Age 57 - Collier. Dick Shon’s Level, Blaenavon Iron Co., Blaenavon, Monmouthshire. Suffocated by coal being on fire near an old flue. Three of the principle rules violated, two by management one by three off the deceased. 4 killed.

YOUNG Charles - 1856 - 15/12/1856. Dick Shon’s Level, Blaenavon, Monmouthshire. Suffocated. 4 killed.

YOUNG Eli - 1853 - 13/03/1853 – Age 15. Camerton, Somerset. Died from the effects of an accident in the coal pits. His leg amputated in hospital.

YOUNG James - 1855 - 03/04/1855. Edge Green, Richard Evans and Sons, Golborne, Lancashire. Fall of roof coal.

YOUNG James - 1856 - 15/04/1856 – Age 28 - Collier. Dick Shone’s Level, Blaenavon Iron Co., Blaenavon, Monmouthshire. Suffocated by coal being on fire near an old flue. Three of the principle rules violated, two by management one by three off the deceased. 4 killed.

YOUNG John - 1852 - 18/10/1852. Crofthead, Coltness Iron Co., Whitburn. Struck by chain falling down. Ironstone mine.

YOUNG Philip - 1859 - 02/05/1859 – Age 26 - Collier. Park End, John Trotter, Forest of Dean, Gloucester. Fall of stone over the coal.

YOUNG Samuel Cooper - 1852 - 18/04/1853. Victoria, Troughton and Co., Coventry, Warwickshire. Fall of coal.

YOUNG William - 1855 - 03/10/1855. Coltness, A.G. Simpson, Wishaw, Lanarkshire. Explosion of firedamp where a fall of roof had occurred. 2 killed.
